Located in the Al Mushrif area close to the city the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club is a tranquil oasis in one of the Gulf’s most up to date and beautiful cities. The club covers a vast area and provides members with a relaxed and restful atmosphere. The Club was originally established as an equestrian centre but was once an undeveloped sandy area is now one of the finest recreational parks in the Gulf region.
Singapore Turf Club was the first all weather venue in Asia so after seeing the success of Fibresand in Europe it became the obvious choice for the track at Kranji.
The 37,500 m2 track allows the trainers to work horses in inclement weather and also allows the club to carry on racing throughout the monsoon season. The sure footing provided by the surface and the innovative banked design is a winner with the trainers and jockeys based at the track. Since opening ten years ago Fibresand remains a firm favourite with the Turf Club management and maintenance team.
